The Global Jewish Assistance and Relief Network (GJARN) is a grass-roots organization which partners with many volunteer groups and other organizations which are involved in the collection and distribution of humanitarian aid.  As such, GJARN maintains very few of its own offices and relies more heavily on already established networks.

To date, GJARN is actively involved in the solicitation and collection of goods throughout the United States, Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, and the Far East.

GJARN maintains ongoing programs throughout Russia and Ukraine with periodic and seasonal programs in most of the Former Soviet Republics.  In countries and cities where GJARN feels it can rely on the existing infrastructure for both the receipt as well as implementation of programs, we choose to maximize our funds by supporting these local groups and their infrastructure.

As with all programs in developing countries, it is the sincere hope of GJARN that the local groups and institutions we are supporting will be able to sustain their programs through local support in due time.  This will enable GJARN to establish new programs in other communities with less development.
