Angola

In April 2015, Rabbi & Mrs Levy and Devora Checkly  arrived in Luanda, Angola to open a new center there. For the first few months, they operated from the Guest House of one of the larger Jewish companies there and after several months, rented a large villa to serve as the Jewish Community Center / Synagogue and family residence.

After many months and major renovations, they held a major innauguration of their beautifully renovated center.

Currently they are putting the final touches on a newly built Mikvah to be opened shortly.

The Global Jewish Assistance is involved with all their programs and very active in their development, assisiting with sending groups of Rabbinical students throughout the year for major Jewish holidays, fundraising efforts and in the growth of their programs.
