Maot Chittim in ISRAEL for Passover 2025
This Passover, you have a unique opportunity to stand with IDF soldiers, wounded warriors, and their families in the most meaningful way.
Since October 7, 2023, JAR has been on the ground, providing direct support to IDF soldiers on base, wounded soldiers at Tel Hashomer Rehabilitation Hospital, and reservists on the front lines. While these heroes defend our nation, their families—many with children—face significant financial and emotional challenges.
To ease their burden, we have launched an urgent Passover appeal: the Passover Food Card Program. Instead of traditional food packages, these prepaid Food Cards empower families to purchase essential Passover items with dignity and ease. Over the past year, we have provided Food Cards ranging from 500 to 4,000 shekels per card to the families of wounded soldiers and active reservists. Now, ahead of Passover, we are expanding our reach to thousands more.
Our Goal: Supporting 3,000 IDF Families This Passover! It is only with YOUR that this can happen!
While we cannot bring fathers home from the battlefield or heal the wounded, we can ensure that their families have food on the table for the Passover holiday.
Why the Food Card Program?
100% of your donation goes directly to soldiers and their families—our administrative costs are covered by retailer rebates.
Immediate impact—Food Cards are distributed before Passover and can be used at supermarkets across Israel.
A personal connection—Your support reminds our soldiers that they and their families are not alone.
Join us today by donating Food Cards to IDF soldiers, wounded soldiers and their families for the Passover holiday!
With your help, we can bring comfort, dignity, and joy to IDF soldiers and their families this Passover.
You CAN make a difference!
*See firsthand the impact of your generosity—below are videos from Tel Hashomer, where families of wounded soldiers express their heartfelt gratitude for your support.
May your generosity and kindness bring blessings to you, your family, and all of Am Yisrael.
Wishing you a Pesach Kasher v’Sameach!

Global Jewish Assistance (JAR)

Each and every month throughout the year, the Jewish Assistance & Relief provides close to 2,000 Food Cards for needy Israeli families with a minimum value of $140 to as much as $1100, and for the Holidays, we supply an additional 3,000-6,000 families with assistance of at least $140 to help with the added Holiday expenses.
Recipients are chosen by local Ministry of Welfare offices based on specified criteria . Many families do work, but are still struggling to make ends meet. Some of them can't keep jobs because of constant care of their seriously sick or disable family members . Lots of our recipients have economic hardships caused by sickness or disability , by the war on terror, death, etc.
Families receive pre-paid food debit cards accepted throughout Israel at any of the 400 Branches of Supersol, Blue Square National Supermarket, Machsanei HaShuk, Victory, and Yeinot Beitan chain stores, where they shop with dignity, and are able to buy foods of their choice.
Our Food Cards are pre programmed so that families can only purchase basic food and household products, and exclude any purchase of cigarettes, alcohol, clothing, cosmetics, electronics, or gourmet foods.
Food Cards are issued for six months and sometimes extended for another six months if there are extenuating circumstances, giving families time to adapt to their new economic situation and to learn how to live within their means.
Recipient families are overseen by their local welfare officers with additional oversight by the Jewish Assistance Fund, the Israeli arm of JAR.
Cards are issued throughout the year, including during war and holidays.
Recipients come from all walks of life and from all over Israel with absolutely no discrimination, and include: orphans, single parent families, holocaust survivors, the elderly, soldiers of the IDF, and special needs children, etc.
Food Cards are programmed with different amounts based on donor specifications and recipient needs.
Our administrative budget in Israel is covered by the rebates we receive from the national retailers so that 100% of your donation goes directly to feed needy families. There is NO warehouse and logistical fees spent to cover packaging and distribution costs as families receive their cards in the mail and then go shop like all other citizens
In the merit of your support for Israel, May you and All of Am Yisroel have a happy and meaningful Passover filled with joy, blessings, and unity!
A Happy and Kosher Passover!
